“Invited by a new age, I am Sailor Uranus, appearing magnificently.”
— Sailor Uranus’s stock introduction
Sailor Uranus is is one of Sailor Moon’s Outer Senshi, so she doesn’t show until some other time in the series, leaving fans inquisitive about her. Let’s see who is her in this post below!
What Does Her Name Mean?
Her name is Haruka Tenou. “Ten” translates to “sky” and “ō” to “king.” In Japanese, the word for Uranus is literally “sky king star” in “ten’ōsei.” On the other hand, “Haruka” translates to “distant,” which could be a reference to the idea of Uranus as the god of the skies far from Earth, but also to Haruka keeping herself separate from the Inner Senshi.
What Is Sailor Uranus’ Most Powerful Attack?
Haruka’s strongest skill is “Space Sword Blaster.” It’s not frequently utilized, however it begins in the manga, and show up in films and the anime series. Initially, it includes Sailor Uranus thinking all of their power into their sword, protracting the cutting edge with that energy, and involving the blade as unadulterated energy against rivals.
Is Sailor Uranus A Princess?
There’s a lot of talk of Princess Serenity in the Sailor Moon franchise. Her Sailor Senshi are typically seen as soldiers or bodyguards, but the truth is that every Sailor Senshi is technically royalty. It’s revealed in the manga with additional artwork, but it also gets revealed in the movie Sailor Moon Eternal. Each of the Sailor Senshi are the princesses of their respective planets. The Moon Kingdom, however, doesn’t appear to spread out across the solar system, so unlike Princess Serenity, Sailor Uranus is a princess in the title, but not in terms of the ruling power.
